The Bullets and Bandaids Collection

Our collection began in 2012 with a book of veterans’ stories and an art auction. Since then, we have formed hundreds of collaborations between veterans, artists, and writers. These collaborations are at the heart of what we do to give veterans a platform and make their truths heard, to form bridges between the experiences of men and women of service and civilians, to foster empathy and healing across communities, and to bring to light the sacrifices so many make for our freedom.

We are grateful to be able to share our collection in its entirety through our printed books, which you can find here, and our collection is always growing. We welcome you to explore, with a word of caution that some stories are severe in nature: PTSD, racial disparities, sexual assault, and many other subjects you’ll find in humanity. With this said, by the nature of going to one of our exhibits, opening a book, or even being on this website, you’re taking an active role in turning trauma into healing dialogue. We invite you to join us at any upcoming events and experience our work first hand, and we ask for your support and donations to continue our programs.
